RMES has a mutually beneficial working relationship with the School of Education of Andrews University. Our veteran teachers serve as supervising teachers for students studying in the Teaching, Learning & Curriculum Department. These pre-service students are required to observe and assist in classrooms in addition to completing a semester of student teaching.
The Educational and Counseling Psychology Department provides both counseling and school psychology interns who are in the final phase of their graduate programs. Counseling interns, while under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, offer individual and group counseling services for RMES students. School psychologist interns are supervised by licensed school psychologists who are professors at Andrews University. These interns administer achievement and intelligence tests. In addition, they assist students by developing intervention plans.
